Is it really free?
Yes. Every HL7v2 and FHIR tool - inspector, viewer, converter, diff, batch validation, generator, FHIRPath, coverage, live probe - is free to use with no account and no limit on how often you use them. The free plan also saves 1 spec, 2 mappings and 5 probe reports per organization.
Is my data safe? What about PHI?
The browser tools run entirely on your machine. Messages and resources you paste are parsed and validated client-side and are never uploaded, which makes them safe to use with PHI in development. The server features - the validation API, CLI and Bridge agent - process a message in memory and never persist it. See our Trust page for the exact list of what we retain.
What counts as a validation?
Any message or resource checked through the validation API, the CLI, or the Bridge agent. Solo includes 10k a month, Team 25k per seat, and Production is unlimited. Anything you validate in the browser is free and never counted, because it never reaches us.
Is there a free trial?
Solo and Team come with a free month - card up front, cancel any time before it ends and you are not charged. Nothing is metered or billed during the trial, so use it as hard as you like; that is the point of it. Production does not have a self-serve trial because it is uncapped, but talk to us and we will sort something out.
Is Production really unlimited?
Yes, flat rate whatever your volume. Production is the plan where you point every inbound feed at us, and you should never be doing arithmetic before wiring up an interface. If your volume grows to the point where flat rate stops making sense for us, we will call you and talk about Enterprise - we will not surprise you with a bill or throttle a live feed.
What happens if I go over my allowance on Solo or Team?
Nothing breaks. We do not cut anyone off over a billing threshold - you keep validating and the overage appears on your next invoice. We email you at 80% so there are no surprises, and if you are regularly over, Production is probably cheaper than the overage.
Can I use it in CI?
Yes, on any paid plan. The CLI takes an API key, runs anywhere, and returns JUnit, GitHub or JSON reports with a non-zero exit code on failure. CLI runs count against your monthly validation allowance.
What happens to my saved work if I downgrade?
Nothing is deleted. If you cancel and end up over a free limit - more than 1 spec, say - everything stays accessible and readable. You just cannot create new items above the cap until you are back under it or upgrade again.
What is the difference between Solo and Team?
Capabilities are the same - the difference is colleagues. Solo is one person with their own workspace, which is what an independent consultant needs. Team adds seats, roles and specs your whole group works from, so the spec is one source of truth rather than a YAML file someone emailed around. If you need to invite anyone, you need Team.
How does pricing scale with headcount?
Team is $29 per seat per month, or $290 per seat billed annually. Production is a flat $199 a month for the whole organization no matter how many people are on it, because at that point you are paying for traffic, not seats.
Do you invoice? We cannot pay by card.
